I am LOVING the Pom pom detail that can pretty much be found on anything and everything right now! Clothing, shoes, accessories, and especially jewelry! It feels so summery and beachy and I seriously can’t get enough pom poms in my life!  It gives a pop of color and adds interest to any piece of  clothing or accessory

The active wear trend is huge!! And thank goodness because as a busy mom of three, I spend half of my life in it.  Even when I’m NOT working out.  It has gotten so cute and there are TONS of options at all price points.  Of course, I love to have a few high quality, more expensive pieces, but I love finding good deals too.  Some of my favorite places to find workout clothes are Marshalls,  TJ Maxx, and Target.  And there are so many active wear options for kids as well. My girls LOVE wearing it and would wear it EVERY SINGLE DAY if I let them.  Target has a great selection for their size range.

Every season  certain colors are “on trend”, but black and white never seems to go anywhere! It’s a timeless and classic color combination that will never let you down! It works for daytime, work attire, evening, and it’s even my favorite color combo for workout clothes. Oh, and it looks great on everyone!!! My Beauty regime has always been all over the place! I can never just stick with one line of products because there are so many I love. So I just do a hodgepodge of what I am currently obsessed with (and that changes periodically)!

Rodan and Fields Sunless Tanning Foam– I can’t live without this!  It gives you an amazing subtle color (no orangey tint) and streak free!  And it dries super fast and has minimal smell! This is a total winner right here!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector– This gives an amazing, soft, and subtle glow.  I sweep some over the top of my cheekbones, down my nose, in the corner of my eyes, and under the brow bone.  I love the soft glowing effect!

Clean Freak Dry Shampoo– Let’s face it, when you’re a busy mom of 3, hair washing becomes a luxury!  This helps me on those in between days.  It adds volume, absorbs oil, and has a clean, fresh scent!

Neutrogena Hydroboost Water gel– My skin has been so dry this winter!  This moisturizer is amazing.  It immediately hydrates and seriously feels like you are giving your face a “drink of water”!

Clarisonic Mia– This little gadget is my favorite! It deep cleans your face getting all the makeup, dirt, and oil that washing alone leaves behind.  It deep cleans your pores and exfoliates! My skin is very sensitive so I am only able to use this 2-3 times a week.  It’s worth the investment!

Burst hair growth serum– My hair has really been through the ringer.  I had tons of hair loss after each of my 3 babies.  As a result, I have multiple lengths of hair.  This serum (along with the shampoo and conditioner) makes my hair grow faster, feel stronger, and look shinier!

Korres Wild Rose Cleanser– This is a soap free cleanser made of rice and cherry.  It exfoliates and brightens and I LOVE the smell!

One Drop Wonder– Let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger OR getting less wrinkles.  This Product has one ingredient, Pomifera oil, and it feels amazing.  You can use one drop (mixed with the Sotox serum) and it’s enough for your entire face.  You can even use it around the eye area and it makes your skin feel like silk!

Rodan and Fields Lash Boost-I have been using this about 6 weeks and have seen MAJOR growth.  It isn’t cheap, but one tube will last you several months. If you really want lash growth, this is worth the investment!

Clarisonic Opal– Ok, apparently I like gadgets!  I put my wrinkle serums, one drop wonder , or whatever I am using on this little guy and it penetrates your products into fine lines and wrinkles. It plumps those areas and makes your anti-wrinkle products work more effectively.

Entrusted by Beth Moore-These are my fave beauty products, but let’s not forget about being spiritually beautiful and healthy too! I am currently doing this Bible study and am really learning a lot.  I highly recommend it!

I’m not sure about you, but I was ready for Spring YESTERDAY!  I’m just not a fan of the cold!  It’s almost transition time.  That time of year when it’s so difficult to figure out what to wear.  It’s 35 degrees in the morning and 70 in the afternoon.   We are tired of winter, but it’s not time to bust out the flip flops yet.

 I just went through my closet and pulled out the key pieces that I will be wearing to get through the weather change, so I thought I would share! And they are all great basics that you can wear in multiple ways. Easy enough?  Not sure about you, but as a busy mom on the go, I need easy and I need simple!

Lighweight scarves- It’s still chilly out and scarves are a must! But go ahead and trade in your chunky, winter blanket scarves and go for something floral and lighter weight!

Brighten up your accessories-Even though it’s still a little nippy, go ahead and brighten up your earrings, necklaces, and go for a lighter colored handbag. And throw on a lighter colored hat. This will brighten up your entire outfit!

Ruffles are everywhere for Spring! And not just subtle ones,  there are some MAJOR ruffles going on!  It is such a fun, feminine trend and I just can’t get enough!  I know not everyone is a “girly-girl” and the thought of wearing ruffles may not be that appealing. But, there are definitely some more subdued ways to do the trend! Like a comfy t-shirt with a small ruffle detail! I also love a ruffle top paired with distressed jeans and converse.  So be sure and add some ruffles to your Spring wardrobe!

I think it’s safe to say, that I am a mascara freak.  I had eyelash extensions for 3 years straight, but unfortunately my lashes became weak and couldn’t hold them anymore.  It was a sad day… I know, first world problems, right?  So needless to say my lashes were in bad shape.  I tried anything and everything to get them healthy again: Latisse, Rodan and Fields Lash boost (that is a future blog post), and every mascara on the market. And here are the results of my experiment!

Loreal Voluminous Mascara–  This is probably my favorite drugstore brand.  I have thin, blonde lashes and this is great for volume.  It does tend to get clumpy with multiple coats, so you may just want to do 2-3 coats.  And because of the design of the brush, I usually have to blot it before application so it doesn’t go on too thick.  But, it does what is says! Volumizes!!!

Better than sex mascara– This is Great if you want that dramatic “falsies” look!  It lengthens and volumizes with it’s uniquely shaped brush. The bristles are really dense, so it grabs every lash. I love this mascara for an “evening look”.  It is smudge proof and really lasts!

Younique 3D Fiber Lashes– If you’ve never tried this product, it is a two step process. You apply the transplanting gel, then immediately apply the fibers.  Then you seal the fibers again with the gel.  This product definitely lengthens and volumizes.  Then you can repeat these steps until the desired results are achieved.  It is important not to overdo the fibers, or you can end up looking “spidery” as I did a couple of times.  Also, make sure you seal the fibers so they don’t flake off.  I really do like this product, but most days I don’t have the time to do the 2 step process.  My Two year old literally destroys my house while I get ready, so it has to be brief!  This is great for a night out, special occasion, or daily wear if time allows.

Lancome CILS Booster– EVERYONE NEEDS THIS!! I SWEAR BY IT!  In fact, I bought each of my close friends a tube of it because I didn’t want them to miss out. How is that for being passionate about a lash primer?  This is a clear primer that you put on BEFORE your mascara.  It plumps and lengthens before you even apply your mascara. You can also apply it at night to nourish your lashes!! Just in case you can’t tell, I really LOVE this product! 🙂

Lancome Hypnose mascara-This has been my go to for quite some time!  You get amazing volume in just one or two coats.  With multiple coats, you can really get a dramatic look!  It is long lasting and doesn’t smudge or flake in my experience.   I can get fuller, longer looking lashes with FEWER coats of it in comparison to some of the others brands!

Lancome Grandiose Mascara– I really like Lancome products, so I guess that is why 2 of their mascaras made my list.  This is great for lengthening and separating the lashes.  It doesn’t create as much volume as the Hypnose, but made my lashes look much longer for sure!  The wand is actually curved, so it seemed a little awkward at first until I got used to it.

Limelight by Alcone Perfect Mascara–  This little gem has been a well kept secret! I had never heard of it, but two sweet gals in my neighborhood start selling it.  So, I gave it a try and I was not disappointed.  It is amazing for length and separation.  I am a multiple coat kind of gal and it doesn’t get clumpy at all which I love! For a natural look, you can just apply a quick coat or two, or you can easily build it.  I thought nothing could touch my Lancome Hypnose, but I will always have a tube of this on hand!  And it washes off very easily. I feel like I have to work at it to get some mascaras off, but this one just glides right off. It is long wearing though.

As a super busy mom of three, I love having ONE quality piece that I can wear multiple ways.  And boy, does a denim shirt fit the bill! It is neutral, year round, and can be dressy or casual.  If you don’t have one in your wardrobe yet, I highly recommend investing in one!  Here are some of my favorite ways to wear it.

1) With white denim

2) Denim on denim.  Just make sure that there is at least two shades difference.  So if you are wearing a dark denim shirt, wear light jeans and vice versa.

7) Comfy and casual with joggers

I just can’t stop talking about Valentines Day!!!

 I’ve put together a gift guide to make your shopping easy!    I am proud to say that all of these items are from boutiques in my area. I LOVE supporting businesses that are local to me.  I SHOP SMALL whenever possible.  Now, I’m not going to to lie, Nordstrom.com is saved in my “favorites” on my laptop, but I support local business owners as much as I possibly can.  Having 3 little ones,  I do most of my shopping online or via social media.  Thankfully, these local boutiques make it easy to shop this way.
